Over 20 Beaver students are spending their first weeks of summer vacation in Costa Rica living and working on an organic farm. Students Study Latin American Art

Students in the Latin American Art, Music, and Dance course recently were assigned a project choose a Latin American artist and represent that artist’s work in some way. One group chose to produce a video about Ecuadorian artist Ramon Piaguaje.

Spanish Mural Project

Students in Jen Sobel’s Spanish IV class recently completed their mural project. The activity asks groups of students to create a mural relating to current events. They must then develop a presentation in Spanish to explain their art to others. This year’s murals are posted below. (Click photos for larger images.)

Reenacting Spanish Art

Students in Jen Sobel’s elective “Spanish V: Art, Music, and Dance” don’t just learn the language, they learn the Spanish culture as well.
