Students Study Latin American Art

Students in the Latin American Art, Music, and Dance course recently were assigned a project choose a Latin American artist and represent that artist’s work in some way. One group chose to produce a video about Ecuadorian artist Ramon Piaguaje.

Spanish Mural Project

Students in Jen Sobel’s Spanish IV class recently completed their mural project. The activity asks groups of students to create a mural relating to current events. They must then develop a presentation in Spanish to explain their art to others. This year’s murals are posted below. (Click photos for larger images.)

Restaurant Wars

In the spirit of the “restaurant wars” challenge on the hit TV show Top Chef, eighth grade students in Michelle Langwieder’s French 1B class created four restaurants vying for the best reviews from Beaver’s “celebrity” judges.

Reenacting Spanish Art
